Doctor of historical sciences, professor of the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Project co-leader (Chief Researcher). Expert in international relations and security, author of two monographs and many scholarly articles on Euro-Atlantic relations, U.S. policy in Central Asia, and U.S. foreign policy. She is co-director of the Al-Farabi Carnegie Central Asia Project, head of the Resource Center for American and Democratic Studies at al-Farabi University, and a member of the American Studies Association for International Relations (ISA).
Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor. Role in the project: Leading Researcher. Expert in the field of civil and corporate legal aspects of digitalization and AI. Developer of the Passport of the Master's degree program "Law of Information Technologies" (2022). Main tasks: ensuring the use of the results of research on the project in the educational process (research-based education), organizing and conducting scientific seminars on the project, organizing research of teaching staff, undergraduates and students within the framework of the emerging scientific school "IT Law" at Narxoz University.
Raushan Utemuratova
MSc, worked as a researcher at the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence, Nazarbayev University. Miss Utemuratova now works at the Centre for the development of Almaty. Project Role: Researcher. Expert in machine learning, reinforcement learning, introduction to algorithms, introduction to probability theory.
Aruzhan Bakhyt
A 2-year master's student of IT Law at the School of Law and Public Administration of Narxoz University. Fellow of the ERASMUS+ program at the University of Cordoba (UCO), Spain and the KAZENERGY Association grant. Participant of the VII German-speaking Moot Court in Dusseldorf and the V International OSCE Forum “Human Rights and Transnational Threats to Security". Member of the 2022 team of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court and Narxoz Student Research. She was a volunteer at the International Justice Forum, the annual 14th meeting of the International Association for Court Administration (IACA) and Assistant to the President of the International Association of Judges (IAJ) in the annual 62nd meeting. Role in the project: Junior Researcher.
Dinmukhamed Aktay
A third-year undergraduate student at the School of Law and Public Policy, Narxoz University. Winner of Narxoz Student Research-2022. Conducted an internship at the AIFC Court (2022). Participant of the AIFC Court & IAC Moot Court 2022. The winner of the second place at the RSPP in international law on the basis of KIMEP University. Winner of the Olympiad in International Law on the basis of the Institute of State and Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.Project Role: Junior Researcher. Assistant in administration, management and overall project coordination.
